Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4-27/2026

Enumerus L.L.C. ("Enumerus", "we", "our", or "us") provides the Mailhund Chrome extension and related backend services. This Privacy Policy explains what data Mailhund collects, how it uses that data, how long it keeps the data, and who it shares the data with.

What Mailhund does

Mailhund helps a user analyze their Gmail mailbox or a Gmail export file to identify websites associated with newsletters, created accounts, and paid subscriptions.

Data we collect

Mailhund may collect and process the following categories of data:

A. Account and billing data

- Verified Google account email address

- Google profile name and profile image URL returned by Google OAuth

- Mailhund session identifiers

- Credit balance, purchase history, and analysis usage counts

- Stripe checkout and payment metadata needed to apply purchased credits

B. Gmail-related data processed for the user-facing feature

- Gmail mailbox thread metadata and first-message content that the user chooses to analyze

- Sender names, sender email addresses, subject lines, message dates, unsubscribe links, linked domains, and extracted message text

- Gmail export files (`.mbox` or supported CSV-like files) that the user uploads for analysis

C. Technical and operational data

- Extension settings and UI state stored locally in the browser

- Upload progress state and background job status

- Basic diagnostic information needed to complete requests and return results

How Mailhund uses data

We use collected data only to provide and improve Mailhund's user-facing functionality, including to:

- authenticate the user with Google

- associate credits and paid usage with the authenticated account

- process Gmail mailbox data or uploaded Gmail export data at the user's request

- generate CSV, JSON, or TXT output for the user

- process billing and apply purchased or reviewer-granted credits

- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of paid features

- troubleshoot, secure, and maintain the service

We do **not** sell user data.

What stays on-device and what is sent to our backend

- Gmail cookies are checked locally in the extension only to verify that Gmail is open in a signed-in browser session. **Gmail cookies are not sent to our backend.**

- When the user chooses a backend analysis flow, the extension sends the selected mailbox content or uploaded export data needed for that analysis to Mailhund's backend at `api.enumerus.ai`.

- When the user chooses a raw local export flow, the generated raw file is downloaded locally to the user's device.

Who we share data with

We share user data only with the service providers necessary to operate Mailhund:

- **Google** for account authentication through Google OAuth

- **Cloudflare** for backend hosting, storage, and request handling

- **Stripe** for payment processing

- **Anthropic** for backend AI analysis of the email data the user chooses to submit for analysis

We do not share user data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data storage and retention

- Account, billing, and session data are stored on Mailhund's backend infrastructure.

- Extension settings and some result/progress state are stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage.

- Uploaded export data and processing data are retained only as long as needed to complete the requested analysis, operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

- Billing records may be retained longer as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and limit access to authorized systems and providers.

User choices and controls

Users may:

- sign out of Mailhund

- uninstall the extension

- choose whether to run backend analysis or generate only local raw exports

- contact us to request deletion of account-related backend records, subject to legal and billing retention requirements

Children

Mailhund is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
